Meeting Place - Eckerds in Downtown Owego on Route 17C
From Binghamton area, west on NY17 to exit #64, follow NY96 across bridge, turn left on NY17C just past courthouse. Eckerds is almost immediately on the right.
Description
- Right on NY17C
- Right on Glen Mary (just after going over RR overpass)
- Stop at West Beecher Hill Road
- Right across bridge (Talcott)
- Immediate Right on Cove Street
- Which immediately curves left becoming West Avenue
- Cross RR Tracks then Right on McMaster Street
- Cross different RR Tracks (best dismount)
- Immediate Left one block, must turn Right on Central Ave. three blocks to starting point
Places to Eat -
- Ice Cream at end of ride at end of Eckerds' parking lot.
Notes -
- Makes a very easy "Ice Cream" ride in the evening.
- Talcott Bridge may be closed for repairs in 2003. Make inquiry.
