Colliersville to Cooperstown

36 Miles - Terrain 3

Meeting Place - Colliersville Rest Area Parking

From Binghamton, I81 North to I88 East. Take Exit 17 and make a Left at the bottom of the ramp onto NY28 towards Cooperstown. In about a mile and a quarter make a Left - sign says to NY7. Then in a few hundred yards make a Right into the parking area.

To Cooperstown

  • Leave parking and make a Left then at T with NY28 make a Left
  • In a little over 3 miles at Portlandville, turn Right on CR35 and cross a bridge
  • In a few hundred yards make Left up a hill continuing on CR35
  • About 5 miles at a T make a Left onto CR35B
  • After crossing bridge and a stop at a T take a Left on NY166
  • Very soon make a Right on CR33
  • In about 7 miles at Bowerstown Four Corners Stop at a T, take Left on CR52 and then keep Left continuing on CR52
  • Right on Brooklyn Street
  • Left after Stop onto Mill Street, crossing bridge and up a hill. Then continuing through town -
  • Right on River Street, Left on Lake and Right on Water Street to Otsego Lake.

Return to Colliersville

  • Return is just the reverse route.
  • From the dock on Water Street, Left on Lake Street, Right on River Street
  • Left at T onto Mill then after bridge at bottom of hill Right on CR33
  • After Stop at T with NY166, make a Left on NY166
  • Very shortly Right on CR35B to cross bridge
  • Then very soon Right onto CR35
  • In about 5 miles Right at bottom of hill at T, cross bridge to Portlandville
  • After Stop Left on NY28
  • Continue on NY28 to Left on old NY28 and Left to Start.
